Seduction was an all-female freestyle dance-pop group from New York City made by Clivilles and Cole (of C&C Music Factory fame). The group consisted of members April Harris (born on March 25, 1967), Idalis DeLeon (Born on June 15, 1966), and Michelle Visage (born on September 20, 1968). In 1988, the group released their first single, “Seduction” which peaked at #17 on Billboard’s dance charts.
A year later in 1989, the group released their first album, “Nothing Matters Without Love” which peaked at #36 on the Billboard 200 chart and #28 on Billboard’s Top R&B\Hip-Hop Albums chart. The first single from the album, “You’re My One and Only (True Love)” peaked at #3 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart, #2 on Billboard’s Maxi-Singles Sales chart, and #23 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The group’s second single, “It Takes Two” became their biggest hit song to date, peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play and Hot Dance Music\Maxi-Singles Sales charts. The song was certified Platinum. The third single, “Heartbeat” peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100, #2 on Billboard’s dance charts, and #21 on Billboard’s Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.
In mid 1990, Idalis left the group and was replaced by Sinoa Loren (born December 6, 1966). Around the same year, Michelle was featured on freestyle group TKA’s top 10 dance hit, “Crash (Have Some Fun).” The group’s fourth single, “Could This Be Love” peaked at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100, #38 on Billboard’s Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart, and #21 on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart. The group’s final single, “Breakdown” peaked at #82 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #4 on Billboard’s dance chart. After the success of their debut album, Seduction parted ways in 1991. Despite their breakup, the members of the group have still managed to keep themselves busy. In 1992, Michelle provided lead vocals for dance act The S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M. on their #1 dance hit, “It’s Gonna Be a Lovely Day” which was also featured on “The Bodyguard” movie soundtrack. Idalis became a well-known MTV VJ from 1994-1997, then moved onto acting and becoming an entertainment reporter\anchor.

In 2005, Seduction was reformed by Idalis DeLeon with new members Maria Flora and Eunice Quinones (also known as Miss New York Latina 2006). In the same year, the new line-up released the album, “Feel Brand New” through April’s own record label, AVH Entertainment.
