Noel (born Noel Pagan) was a New York City-born freestyle musician whose claim to fame came when his song, “Silent Morning” became his very first top 10 dance hit on the Billboard dance charts, peaking at #6 on Billboard Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart in 1987 and #47 on the Billboard Hot 100.

His self-titled debut album was released in the same year and peaked at #126 on the Billboard 200. Another single, “Like a Child” peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Music\Club Play chart, but peaked at #67 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #88 on Billboard’s Hot R&B\Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart in 1988. Another single, “Out of Time” also hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music\Club chart in the same year.

In 1990, Noel made a cameo appearance on a single called, “How Could You Have the Heart” by a Freestyle group called Girls’ Club. Also, he collaborated with producer Tony Moran on a maxi-single called “The Question.

In 1993, Noel released his second album, “Hearts On Fire.”
